 | The Commission on Higher Education through En Banc Resolution 188-2010 dated July 16, 2010, awarded Saint Louis College the distinction of being a Center of Excellence (COE) for Teacher Education in recognition of the excellent performance of the programs under SLC College of Teacher Education in the areas of instruction, research and publication, extension and linkages, institutional qualifications and in producing quality pre-service teacher education that meet the needs of progressive teachers for basic education schools. |

NSTP-ROTC Department Wins Major Awards |

The 234th Department of Air Science and Tactics, headed by Dean Marife E. Rimando as NSTP Director and Lt. Col. Maria Lucrecia R. Mir as ROTC Commandant, won two major awards during the 63rd Foundation Anniversary of the Philippine Air Force.
In the Special Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Villamor Air Base on 01 July 2010, Lt. Gen. Oscar H. Rabena, PAF Commanding General, awarded the PAF ROTC Department of the Year plaque of commendation to Lt. Col. Mir.

Mr. Ives Q. Nisce, President and CEO of Rang-ay Bank, together with Mr. Ives Jesus C. Nisce II, Senior Manager, handed over the check representing their donation to put up one intelligent classroom in the college to SLC President, Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, cicm and Dr. Lea de Guzman, VP for Academics, last October 16, 2009 in a simple rites at the main office Rang-ay Bank.
Rang-ay Bank, the biggest rural bank in the Ilocos and Cordillera Regions, through the CEO’s words, shall continue to be a partner of Saint Louis College in producing competent, young and mature Christian leaders of the church and society.
