Louisians who have golden and heavenly voices entered the Campus Ministry Office (CMO) to try out their luck to become a choral singer of the school. The screening ran from July 11 to July 15, 2008.

The said audition was like that of the different talent searches in the country. Students were given numbers and they were to enter the office one by one. They were interviewed about their personal background and singing experience. After the interview portion, the test on musical ability followed. This test determined whether the candidate posseses the abilities expected from a choir member (with the correct pitch, with a vocal timbre, and the like). The test determined whether the singer has a soprano, alto, tenor or bass (SATB) voice.

The said audition was conducted by the would-be trainers and consultants of SLC choirs - the Bontogon couple, Leah and Regie. Mrs. Regie D. Bontogon and Mr. Regie T. Bontogon are both holders of the degree Bachelor of Music in Music Education (Emphasis on Voice). They graduated from the University of Santo Tomas.

When asked what the hopefuls felt after the audition, Rowena Guevarra (BSBA - 1) answered, "Nakakakaba sa una, pero kapag kumakanta ka na, parang nawawala ang kaba mo. Tapos parang masayang matanggap kasi talagang matututo ka sa mga consultants from UST."

From the total number of Louisians who dared to audtition, only 36 lucky aspirants were chosen, and from the 36, three hopefuls were eliminated to complete the lucky thirty three choral singers.
